Kodi Widevine Support

More and more online content providers are now using Widevine DRM for streaming their content.

Kodi 18 (and up) have implemented support for playback of Widevine DRM content via the inputstream.adaptive add-on.
Note: Older versions of Kodi (17, 16 etc) do not support Widevine playback.

Any of my add-ons that require Widevine will automatically attempt to install the required dependencies the first time content is played.

Below is a list of supported platforms.

- Widevine does not support iOS / tvOS

UWP (Windows Store / Xbox) NO
- These platforms do not support Widevine playback
- If using Windows, use the .exe installer version instead

Linux ARM6 (Raspberry Pi 1 / Zero) NO
- Widevine does not support ARM6

Linux i386 / i686  NO
- Widevine no longer supports

Video Test Streams Add-on

This add-on allows you to test if your Kodi device can playback certain formats (including Widevine).

First follow THIS post to install the SlyGuy Kodi Add-on Repository.

Now navigate to "Main Menu -> Add-ons -> My Add-ons"
Select ".." then select "Install from repository"
Select "SlyGuy Repository".
Select "Video add-ons" then "Video Test Streams"
Select "Install" and the add-on will download and install.
You can now access the add-on in the Add-ons main menu item.
Once in the add-on, simply click a stream to test it.
To confirm Widevine compatibility, select the "InputStream Adaptive - Dash with Widevine" option.
If you get a prompt to install InputStream Adaptive, select YES.
Don't worry if the streams in this add-on buffer.
As long as they play, then your good to go.
Feel free to remove this add-on once you have tested playback.
